WHO AM I?
My name is Lowell Bloom. I am an Oregon native but have called Washington State my home for the last 35 years. I am a United States Veteran. I live in the Yakima Valley with my beautiful wife, dogs, and cats. I have four grown children and many wonderful grandchildren.
MY PASSION
I started wood work at the age of 12 working on projects with my father. I started wood turning at the age of 14 years old and made my own wooden drift boat at 15. I have always had a passion to create. In my early career, I spent about six years working on custom homes and remodels. Then spent 25 years in commercial construction. I decided to turn my passion for wood into a personal business, More Than Firewood.

A tree in itself was created for beauty and purpose, even after it is taken down. Trees can live on forever if given the chance to be turned into reusable wood. Not all parts of a tree need to be marked as "free firewood."
